Hey all, as some of you may know i recently purchased a nice new pc, and have sucessfully built it, and installed vista.
Everything seems to be running very smoothly apart from one small thing..
When windows asks about "verify this program" or infact quickly in startup between the asus screen i see and vista loading up i get colour distortion for a brief millisecond and then its gone... its almost like the monitor is resizing itself but it shows up random lines of green and other strange colours. Though it is only for the smallest time and then its fine again.
I have an intel e6600, asus p5b-e, 2gb ddr2-800 and an evga 8800 gts 640.
Is this just a known bug or is there something wrong with my machine? I'm probably just worrying over nothing but i dont want my new pc to die

p.s. also the hard drive seems to be reading even when im doing nothing in vista, is this normal?
