monitor goes fuzzy when changing hz

on my new build when I change my hz from 60 to anything above the screen goes fuzzy

benq xl2410t 120hz monit
gtx titan card

When loading a game I got a message in the middle of my screen saying incorrect cable
please use the dual link cable that came with your monitor

The one you have clearly isn't dual link, and dual link is required for 120hz

the dual link one that came with the monitor is no longer here when I took it for a repair the guys lost it what cable do you recommend I buy then to get this sorted

As above, single link DVI cables can't handle the bandwidth required for 60Hz +

even tho my cable is dvi to dvi it's wrong yeah has to be dvi-d to dvi-d
