Hi all,

My Lenovo 19" Monitor keeps going into standby mode when I install my AMD graphics card,

The light goes green, and the the logo appears on screen, only for it to then go into standby mode everytime,

The monitor only has a VGA, so I tried the VGA in both the motherboard VGA and the graphics card VGA, No luck.

I then tried plugging it into my TV via the HDMI cable, the TV would not get signal.

When the graphics card is out, the monitor and tv run perfectly from the MOBO VGA,
As soon as the Graphics card is installed it doesn't want to know on any screen at all.

The Graphics card is an AMD Radeon 7750 vtx3d 1GB

Really not sure whats going on, any suggestions?
Followed a few threads online to no avail, updating the drivers, disabling the processors integrated graphics then turning off, and booting with the card in..

Any suggestions?
I did try the lenovo update tool, and it wouldn't update the bios even though there was an update available.

Thanks

Does the GPU actually work?

It should do, It was in an anti static bag for a couple of months unused, so shouldn't have an issue, I'm going to take it to my friends to test which wont be until next week now, So I am looking for any other measures to take, does it sound like the card then? I know it's accepting power because the fans spin.

The only thing I dont understand is the fact that When the monitor is on "standby" and I turn on the PC without the card in, the monitor comes on.

it stays on standby when the GPU is connected.

I'll test it next week when I can, if it doesnt work in friends PC I'll try a last ditch attempt and Bake it in the over, failing that I'll buy a new one!
