Monitor Gpu choices

Hi had been planning of getting vega 64, but with the reviews not being that great and not really wanting to upgrade my 650w psu.

Now wondering if it would be better to get Vega 56 and pairing it with Samsung C27HG70
Or would it be better off going nvidia and getting a GTX 1080 and getting AGON AG271QG.

Wasn't wanting to spend much more than £1100 on both, or does anyone have any better ideas ?

Was wanting a Va or ips monitor, been using a Dell 23" ips for the last 6 years and not wanting to go tn

Mainly will be casual gaming and watching films on it.

As someone who recently had both freesync and gsync I would go the gsync route as freesync gets broken through amd drivers too much for my liking. It can also be a bit fragile at times requiring a driver re-install but your mileage may vary.

Nvidia has aftermarket cards now where as the vega 56 will first be released as reference.

Stick with ips if you are casual gaming for sure. I went tn recently as my ips monitor was a bit lacking for my online needs.

Nvidia is more expensive but you do get what you pay for it seems.

Cheers for the reply. Was really interested in the samsung monitor, but worried the vega 56 might not be powerful enough for it.

That viewsonic has been highly rated on the pcmonitorsinfo site. It's imo one of the best and I would take it over the Asus pg279q and the Acer xb271hu.

Those monitors have common quality control issues.

Cheers, think I'll wait till monday before deciding what to do.
Just in case vega 56 comes in about £350, would make monitor and gpu about £300 cheaper.
Wife would kill me if she found out I'd spent over £1100 on them.
