My monitor is starting to look very worn so I thought of upgrading, then realised my nvidia 260 graphics cards are very old. Firstly if I change my 2 x 260 gtx for one card, as below, and use an hdmi cable with screen below will I notice a difference? Secondly could I put 2 new graphics cards in sli mode with mobo listed - is there enough room?

YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus GeForce GTX 660 DirectCU II OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with FREE Assassin's Creed III PC Game £191.99
1 x Asus P8Z77-V Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £145.99
1 x IIyama Prolite E2273HDS 22" Widescreen LED Monitor - Black £119.99
Total : £471.47 (includes shipping : £11.25).

you can SLI with that mobo, but it depends on what case you have, as it might not have enough clearance, sometimes HDD bays can get in the way. I would have thought that card would easily beat you're current cards, but i don't know anything about nvidia :P always bought AMD :D

I'm running the MSI 660GTX Twin Frozr III as a single unit and can't fault it. I do however only really run MW3 & Dead Island, both are set to max settings. The card does not disappoint. Under a 1 hour burn in, it hit 50 degree's 100% load and the fan speed was only 40%.

That's my experience.

In terms of the mobo, it looks like there is plenty of room as it is only a dual slot card and the distance between the PCI-E ports are plenty.

Does this help?

I went from SLI 260s like you have to a GTX 680 and it made a massive difference in BF3.

Although it would be better to buy one powerful graphics card such as a 7970 or 680 than going for SLI 660s, much less hassle and in a years time if you want to upgrade you can then add a second card.

I have a midi tower case I got quite a few years ago, I reuse it because I have limited movement and the power switch is easy to get to.
