I have a 4k monitor that will happily do 60hz via it's display port.
I have however just bought an Intel nuc and have connected it up to the monitors hdmi expecting to get at least 4k@30hz (the monitors hdmi is 1.4 spec apparently).
However any resolution I try other than 1080p makes the screen go black as though it's not compatible with the screen?
The nuc has 2 hdmi 2.0 outputs.
Why can't I at least try 1440p or 4k@30hz surely the monitor should just scale as needed?
