Monitor help stung by CEX

Hi all

Was bought a 24'' monitor by the wife.. CEX say theyve tested it and said its fine.... Ive plugged in the HDMI lead from monitor to GPU and then Montior to Motherboard but all i get is a black screen that looks like its loading and then it comes up with German writing which ive found out is 'power saving mode' i cant seem to get a display to work and cant work out how to change it so i can get PC running :mad:

Any recommendations or Germans here to help

Most monitors will just go in to power saving if they don't detect a signal. Do other monitors or TVs work with the same computer?

I haven't tried anything else as of yet I will try it on our main TV in the front room as I've plugged my other builds into the TV in the past and they worked fine... Could it be the fact I may have to use a DVI cable instead of HDMI

Download the manal, change language settings using buttons on monitor first of all.

Have you set the monitor to the HDMI input ?

As most monitors I had are normal set on default of DVI or display port
