Monitor Help

Hi guys I'm looking for a new monitor, 24inch, but I'm not sure how to choose.

A friend suggested that I get a monitor based on how good my graphics card was. I'm not sure how to go about this so, here's my graphics card.

Would you guys be willing to suggest and explain?
