Hey,

I currently have 3x Dell U2415's I think they are, primarily for iracing/motorsport sims.

However for the last 9 months or so I have not had the time to race, and they basically get used for:

Spotify-browser-Youtube

My desk is a right mess with the big triple stand, and wires everywhere, and ultimately any gaming I do do is only on a 24" screen, along with youtube/TV shows tc.

I have decided im not likely to race any time soon, so I am looking to replace the screens.

Can't decide between a UW monitor, with a side screen, or 2 27"/30" screens instead.

I am an absolute stickler for colour balance across screens, so normally have to have the identical panels if I have more than 1 display.

I currently run a GTX970 so think high resolutions will be an issue, that being said I only really play Blizzard games/BF1/Albion Online at the moment.

Thoughts/sugestions please?

Cheers,

Rob

Well I run 17-24-17 in PLP setup, so obviously I don't have the perfect colours that you're looking for, but the vertical heights are almost the same, and it's only the width of 2x24 while maintaining symmetry about the centre. If you pick up a hardware colour calibrator, then you can get most screens to look very very similar, as long as they share stats (e.g. both are IPS with 100% sRGB gamut coverage). For visual/bezel match, get them all the same brand. Just an idea to consider :)

I would love a picture of your setup it sounds very interesting, thanks for the reply

Er, ignore the scribbles, it's an old picture uploaded for other purposes xD But this is the symmetry I'm on about. Turned on end, the 17" panels are 1280 pixels high and about half an inch taller than the 24. Pixel density is almost identical. Windowed games can be stretched across all three with only a thin bar visible at the bottom on each side. With a black desktop background, it'd be surprisingly viable.
