I have a gaming rig design set and seem to have a kindly £200 left in my budget
The monitor I have included in my current design is the AOC E2795VH 27" Widescreen LED Monitor - Black @ £190 inc VAT.
Now I had a few questions for those who know their business when it comes to Monitors.
I am using this primarily for gaming and will be sat at my desk (no gaming chair or such further away from the display) and have been judging 30inch as the upper point to go for a Monitor as more and I am told that focus is hard to keep at such short range on such a large monitor.
There is no graphic design, encoding media or other fun stuff - just pure gaming.
So the question is - is 27 inch big enough or is that still too big?
Should I go bigger or smaller?
Considering I have a budget of £200-£400 for a Monitor - what should I go with?
Someone suggested a display - I have access to a great source of £500 40 and £650 46" displays, is that a good idea? or at that level should I just get a TV as they seem to be cheaper?
My rig will have a nice 6970 and an i5 2700 so it will be putting out Ultra detail on current games, the last thing I want to do is waste that by outputting the game image to a monitor that isnt strong enough to handle it...
Any suggestions or help anyone can offer?
