Can anyone explain these to me quickly as I am really far behind when it comes to monitors. For e.g a monitor I was going to get has one DVI input and 1 analogue. What is the difference between all the inputs and why is there no HDMI input? I am confused

Also it seems with these new monitors I have to buy an input cable and speakers to get any picture or sound, ******* bump.
