hey

quick question.. i need to be able to track what my children do on the internet... i know they delete the browsing history, is there anyway to see what they have been up to?

i have windows vista and IE7

thanks in advance.
confused.. :)

I'm pretty sure there is a function on Microsoft SteadyState that could stop your children(s) user accounts from deleting the history.

Failing that, just give them a thick ear :)

that's cool. i was just about to post that it only works with xp but i see it's been updated to support vista. :)

If you want to be super sneaky, you could install a program called "Remote Administrator" as a service on the PC your children are using. On another computer you can connect to it and "view" their screen entirely without having control of the computer and they wont know that some one else is watching ;)

There are lots of web filtering apps that will log internet usage. Most cost money but it's not much, almost all have the option to not actively filter but log.

^this is ut an example of the sort of app you could use. Its password protected for the settings and you can't uninstall it without the password using add/remove progs. something along those lines seems ideal, cheaper the better.
