Hoping someone can help here, I originally purchased my monitor back in June 2014 and within a month it had to be replaced as the screen started failing. The monitor was replaced with the exact same model as I was happy with it before the fault arose.
Fast forward a few months later in 2015 and the monitor suddenly made a popping sound and stopped working, I contacted Overclockers who at this point told me I had to contact Samsung for a repair as the warranty out with the first 28 days is with the manufacturer.
I then proceeded to contact Samsung who couldn't find the details for my monitor and then passed me through to another number which just ended up ringing out so I ended up going back to Samsung who then told me to take it back to the place of purchase as they couldn't find the details for this.
Once again I went back to Overclockers and spoke to someone different who told me they can handle the repair process from their side but they normally just give out the manufacturer details as it's normally quicker to deal with.
In all honesty I would have preferred this option as it would have saved me at least a couple of hours dealing with Samsung. At this point I also asked if I could return the product and maybe go for another brand as I didn't have that much confidence in that model anymore and I also made it aware that I may not got a full refund but I'd just take the hit and pay extra for another model. I was told by the gentleman I spoke to, that they would only consider replacing it with another model if I had to return it for a third time.
Fast forward to today and I've just had the exact same issue and my monitor has stopped working completely, I've tested all the power points and power supply and they're all ok so it looks like the exact same problem as before.
I've called Overclockers and spoken to someone who's just told me I need to call Samsung as they deal with the warranty out with the 28 days of purchase and what I was told before about being replaced with another brand is only if I've had to return the monitor 3 times within 28 days .
I've called Samsung after the guy I've just spoken to at Overclockers gave me their number and after about 20 minutes of taking my details down they've just told me to contact another number to organise a repair.
I feel like the goal posts change every time I contact Overclockers and Samsung just pass me from pillar to post. I'm also pretty annoyed at being told that if I had to take this monitor back for a third time I could speak to someone and Overclockers would look at replacing it with another brand. I'd even be willing to take the hit and pay extra for this!
Sorry for the wall of text but does anyone have any suggestions or come across this before?
