Hi all,

I have been gaming on a rather old ADC 7GR monitor a friend had for a while (my machine is at his house) and it blew up!

I do have a Misubishi 930SB at home but its very heavy to carry about compared to my SFF system. So....

What can I replace it with that wont cost £250 as its primary purpose is gaming on Battlefield 2 with my BFG 6800GS OC

I did look at the excellent price of the 19" WS monitor on this week only but I'm put off by the high res required and the stretching/bars nastiness of games on Widescreen.

Recommendations then folks for a monitor that will suit my needs cheaply? :)

17" or 19" I dont mind. :o

your card will support 1440 x 900 easy.

go for the acer AL1916W. awesome piece of kit for the price.

job done. :D

If you don't want to get a WS then there are some very nice and well priced 19" 4:3 models available too. The Samsung 920N (previously 913N) is very popular and an excellent price. The Viewsonic VX922 fits the budget too and is arguably the most responsive panel in the market right now, would be a very good choice for gaming :)
