Monitor lamps

just buy an RGB strip and connect it to your motherboard and have it lighting up behind your monitor or whatever

Anyone got any experience with this type of thing?

I could do with a new desk lamp, and the theory of these seems good. But do they really work? Do they illuminate the desk but not the screen? Do they avoid glare? Do they look janky sat on top of your monitor?

And can anyone recommend a good one?
That's the one I bought earlier this year and I think it's great. It can be swiveled so illuminates the screen or out towards the keyboard. I got it to save space and it looks good on top of the monitor. I also tried the BenQ one but the back of my monitor is curved and it just didn't sit right, also didn't look/feel worth the 40 quid price difference for me.

Just order them both if you can and try them out, you can always return them.
