Basically i have recently bought a dell 2515 monitor and was wondering if i could plug my speakers into the back of this and then use it as a screen for my PS3 as well as my PC.

Would this decrease sound quality over a direct connection to the pcs audio out though?

speakers are 2.1 harmen soundstick III

thanks!

That will work, but it's possible the sound quality will not be as good as using the onboard audio from your PC. Hard to say though really. If it were a cheap monitor, then I'd say it will be inferior to the PC audio, but as it's a high quality monitor, the audio output might be better than expected.

Can only try it for yourself then decide.
