Hello, i have recently got a new pc and there is a problem when i am playing games that my monitor will lose signal to the pc but the pc will keep running. I am really unsure of what to do and need detailed instructions on how to fix it. Any help is appreciated. I use a HDMI cable and there isnt any loose cables or anything like that, it seems to be completely random as sometimes it will happen within 2 mins of playing a game or sometimes it will happen after a couple of hours of playing, it happens on almost all games that i play. THis includes guild wars 2, max payne 3, Arma 2 ect
Thank you

you dont say what your monitor is but use a DVI cable or a different HDMI. If it has VGA try using that also. in fact try using VGA first. You need to eliminate the cable as being the problem before looking at the PC or monitor.

Sounds like psu issue. I had same problem I fixed mine by changing gpu power cables. Is your psu a modular? If so try a different set of cables.

Edit, just seen that you do have a modular, could you try another set of GPU power cables?

Yes just use another two cables into GPU and test some games. With my PSU its semi modular, it has two PCI power cables FIXED inside, If I use them and try and play a game my screen will just black out after couple mins.
So I changed the cables for another two and it not happened since.

I didn't want to send PSU of to corsair because I would have no PC in the time it takes to RMA it.
