Hi all,

I would love to buy a new 34"monitor for gaming but unless the reliability issues get sorted out I will wait for the new model in Q4. I don't mind paying 1k for one but I do mind poor quality and rubbish customer service:mad:Acer get a grip:mad:I have been bitten with them before but the lucky ones who have new monitors that work give great reviews. How long do u think until other companies with better QC start selling the 34 inch models. I have bought a new 1070 and I would love a new monitor it just seems crazy in this day and age they can't make good reliable panels ???

Fingers crossed Dell bring out a 34" with Gsync at some point in the near future. IMO this would bury the competition. They're the only ones I'm prepared to put my trust in.

While i do love Dell and have some of the best QC on the market i think the real issue is with the panels themselves. Acer or Dell, the panel is still going to come from either LG or Samsung. So issues like backlight bleed and IPS glow come from further up the supply chain than Acer or Dell :/

There's no excuse for bad customer service though. Shame on Acer

I may be wrong, but i thought it was all in the panel itself (rather than the monitor as a whole). So no matter what the bezel design on the monitor, if the actual panel was not correctly assembled you will get backlight bleed.

Order one from OCUK if you don't like it for whatever reason send it back within 14 days?

We all played the lottery and most of us are happy with our x34 monitors.

Dell's 34" UW suffered from exactly same BLB and bezel issues as it siblings.
They can't fix the panel inherently of poor quality, and only one such panel of given size/resolution available - so no choice. Well, at the least it didn't have firmware bugs that X34 had when it was released, I'd give Dell that ;)
