I have dual tfts at the present and noticed the colours don't really match on each screen. White is whiter on the second tft so I swapped them around. Only the right tft (which was the left) now has the whiter than white whites.

ARGH! How??

I've checked the panel settings and driver settings for each panel and both are identical... any ideas? It is *most* annoying.

i assume you're maybe using one on DVI and the other on VGA? probably something to do with that, you may need to fiddle with settings to get them looking more similar

Both DVI, from the same card (X1900), have reinstalled drivers again and played around with settings... But as they're both identical monitors and the problem didn't move despite me switching them around... odd!

buy a monitor calibrator and set both monitors to a decent profile... lacie do one, so do pantone and gretag macbeth between 50 and 250 dependeng on what you get

Swap them without swapping cables. That will show you whether it's just your imagination/an artifact of the room lighting.

I did, as above.

It must be my imagination. I'll get someone over to have a look.

Are both screens using an ICM profile? (usually adds itself if you install the monitor driver) or just one ?
