Monitor making popping sound, like a clock?

I have a lg 34" superwide monitor. Turned it on and i could hear a clock sound coming from the monitor. It done it for about 4 minutes and has stopped, ill keep an eye on it and hope its a one off.

Coil whine maybe? If it works I wouldn't worry to much, how long have you owned it and is it under warranty?
