I currently have a Dell 20" widescreen (1680 x 1050) as my main monitor, and was using a Viewsonic 19" 4:3 monitor as a second monitor. The Viewsonic has just died, so my plan was to buy a 22 or 23" to use as a main monitor, and use the Dell as the secondary one.
The Viewsonic seemed to have a very similar pixel size to the Dell, so switching from one to the other was very easy.
I've looked at the Samsung P2250 or P2350, but not sure which will be the best in terms of matching dot pitch with my Dell. I know the Dell 2209 is current flavour of the month, but I think switching back and forwards between two monitors of the same resolution, but different size might be strange, hence thinking about one of the new breed of 1920 x 1080 ones..
Any advice gratefully received, as I'm getting really frustrated working on one monitor again
