Monitor on "stand by"

Hey guys,

If I start putting my PC to Sleep rather than Shut-down, can I leave my monitor "on" when I put to sleep?

Or am I best turning it off from the button on the monitor?

Have a look at the technical documents for the monitor... Think mine uses about 0.3w on standby/sleep so not much... I only tend to fully turn it off if I'm not going to be using it for a while.

thanks, it’s not so much the energy use, just wondering if it can cause “damage” over time doing this. That was all.

I doubt it.. LEDs have thousands of hours of life, but they are turned off when the monitor is on standby. There's nothing to damage really.
