I have a Mac Mini on the way and hopefully one day in the next 400 years can get an Xbox Series X. My usage will be 95% plus general web use and photo editing. The other 5% will be Xbox use if my son is using the TV!

I think I’m down to two choices after hours of watching reviews.

Now I like this monitor because of its colour accuracy, looks and as the Mac mini isn’t the best for I/O ports the extra ones on the monitor will be handy. For gaming the 60hz isn’t great on an Xbox but tbh the 5 year old Samsung we currently play on probably isn’t better than that anyway and we have no complaints.

More expensive and currently out of stock.

LG 27GP850

Looks awful, hate the stand and looked cheap when I went to view one. SRGB mode is a plus and obviously much better for the xbox. I’d probably get a monitor arm if I got this screen.

I did look at 4K versions of the LG but plenty of reviews I have looked at for the Mac Mini haven’t rated them at the 4K resolution.

Any others I should look at? Advice? I can’t find anything on here with anyone having the Dell but web searches through up decent reviews.

I just got 2 of the Dell 2722D for work at home (3d art) as I didn't need the extra connections on the DE. Build quality is impressive and I love the simple bezel especially on monitor arms. Just calibrated the displays with a Spyder, accuracy seems good enough for my work. The display manager software is brilliant and I wish I'd sorted this out earlier.

I don't really game apart from a few RTS now and again. Not attached the Dev kit yet so not sure how it will be with a console.

My first order one of the panels had 2 dead pixels but another was sent out the next day and that was fine.

I really cannot stand the look of most monitors so was really drawn to these. No stupid badges or flashy colours.
