Monitor or CPU upgrade etc

Have approx £300 to spend and am torn between either :-

1) upgrading 20" Samsung 205 bw to samsung 24" 245B or

2) Changing Opteron 185 for a Quad core Intel/amd and new motherboard and ram .

Graphics are 9800GTX

Would appreciate members views

Games + internet + occasional films .

Was thinking of adding a blue ray player when prices drop a bit

Thanks for replies - have decided to go with new monitor but am having second thoughts as to which(See new thread in monitor section)
