Have been running , without any glitches as such, Gigabyte Monitor(just over 2 years old) AMD ASrock 6800xt (6months old) and Razer basilix mouse.

Both the gpu (myself manually) and the Mouse (auto update) updated drivers a few days ago and a little time after I realised that I had a new , intermittent, problem.

If I am watching a you tube video or a program on i player usually all seems in order when I start play (occasionally it may slow/stutter to begin with) and still seems fine when I move to full screen.

However when I press escape or mouse click to make it smaller a lot of the time the screen will go black and mouse pointer dissapear - in a few seconds it will then turn back to normal.

Thoughts on what the problem is?

Have noticed that usually the problem does not occur when I start it is a little time later

Thanks to anyone who can help !!

Thought it had cured itself after I upgraded the mouse to a new corsair one but no ... still has problems running you tube videos or iplayer programs etc.

Very frustrating!!!

As far as I can tell my only hope of resolving the issue(s) is to re-install windows and start clean

Anyone got alternatives?

(might try swapping the monitor before re-installing windows just in case its the monitor)

I would think GPU driver also.

Can you try rolling it back to a previous version to see if the same issue persists given the recent update seems to have caused it?

Did Roll back to previous driver but still had issues.

Decided I was fed up with Razer and tried to unistall software and , in the end, the mouse - Finally after a weeks correspondence with them they advised me how to access hidden folders as a result of which I was able to remove all the software . Uninstalled the mouse and am now with Corsair - given how difficult Razer made it to get rid of their software I will not be heading for Razer in the near future!

Still not sure what was causing my problems - am still of the view that it was either the updated Adrenalin software or the Razer software but cannot be sure. (N.B. Having removed all of the Razer software apart from the hidden folders, I moved back to my DGM(1440 ips monitor) and ran it all day yesterday without issue. Today I moved back to my (3440) Gigabyte monitor and deleted the remans of the Razer software and will see how it goes).

Will give it a few days and report :)

All appears to be working as it should :)

The removal of the final bits of Razer software was , it seems , the cure. Will not be returning to Razer in the near future!!

Did re-install the most recent Adrenalin drivers and so far all seems in order. - fingers crossed for future.
