Just received my pc parts from OcUk yesterday which are :
  • i7-3770k
  • xilence 700W which i had already
  • ATI Radeon 7850 twin frozen
  • DDR3 Kingston RAM modules 8gb
  • Crucial SSD
  • Gigabyte Mobo
  • Viewsonic Monitor

On my old system(yesterday) the monitor did actually have a signal but today on this one it remains with no signal, no responce(as if it is not connected) with a black screen obviously. My pc turns on without any problems so I dont think I should take notice of any beeps, or do I?...

Any ideas please?

Thanks Krezmona :D

Do you have a speaker attached to the motherboard? I can't remember the last time I heard a computer 'beep' - most are using those fancy LED indicators now :D

yeah I had this wire wshich came with the mobo (cylindrical) which presume is a mini speaker.. let me get it..

yea sounds like you need 2 change a setting for primary graphics adapter default it normaly is IGPU and needs changing to PCI-express for the discrete card to work so connect the monitor to the mobo and boot up see if you get anything

mhmm still unresponsive..... damn I never had any probs with monitor or VGA and since im very noobish I find it hard to tackle this area mhmm lemme try the DVI from the monitor to VGA agn...

remove the card connect it to the onboard and change the setting in bios to boot primary display as pcie put you gfx back in run through dvi and make sure you have your power cable connected to you gfx card a well
