Monitor picture is GREEN ??

My son turned his pc on today only to find that the picture on his monitor is green. I checked the connection and removed the gfx card and cleaned it. Anyone got any ideas as to why the picture is all green - i tried degauss but that didnt work either.........is the monitor or grx card goosed. Ive yet to try the monitor on another PC tho'.

That could be a bummer then as its hard wired to the monitor..........

try the other connector on the graphics card.

one on this 7800gtx was dodgey when i plugged my new monitor in from my old one but the monitor wasnt the problem, i sent the card back and it was fixed :cool:

I take it its a CRT? We have some monitors at work that go blue occationally lol, we just whack it on the side and it sorts out for a little while lol.

Is the OSD of the monitor discoloured? That will tell you if it is the monitor or the graphics card/cable.

Tried whacking it and no change, The OSD is green too. Ive actually replaced it now but thanks for all the replies
