Hi guys. Got a few questions I was hoping I could get some help with.

1) xvYCC. Is this something I should look for when buying a monitor? I hear its plain superior to sRGB, but not sure whether to actively look for the feature.

2) 120Hz. Is this really something important?

3) I absolutely love 1680x1050. Perfect compromise between processing power and display image. Problem is, not too many 22/24" monitors really come with the resolution as native any more. If I get a 1920x1200 monitor, and simply switch to 1680x1050 when running a demanding game, will it look alright, or is that a bad idea? Ive got a (dying) 226BW at the moment, so that would be my reference.

4) IPS panels seem like the way to go - but which one should you go for when buying a monitor? H-IPS, E-IPS or IPS-Pro? Is IPS-Pro even the same thing as P-IPS?

If its of any significance, im looking for a monitor that will be mainly used for gaming, and perhaps watching a movie every so often.
Many thanks in advance.

Cheers for the welcome!

Jeez, couldnt ask for a more detailed response. Thanks a lot.

About 3) - seems like ill opt for a 1680x1050 monitor in that case.
My specs:
Q6600
GTX 260
4GB/800MHz
Its a setup thats served me really well for some time now, but I dont think it would be able to keep up with my demands at higher resolutions.
Ive had a look at the Dell you recommended... and gotta say, this seems pretty much exactly what im looking for! Unless I come across something even more suiting this evening, ill probably go for it.

Again, thanks, youve been of the utmost help. :)
