Monitor question

Thinking about getting the BenQ G2222HDL 21.5" Widescreen LED Monitor and was wondering if people thought this was a good monitor. Is it possible to set this up to extend the screen of my old laptop (compaq presario v6000)? It's only running xp media so will it work and will I need to install drivers (where to I get them if I do)? Also, does this come with the cables I need, I think my connection is vga but i'm not sure

VGA is normally blue or black and looks like the reverse of a serial port

DVI is normally white or on some newer cards is black and is a larger block

not sure about monitor but helps you track down your connection

Well I have recently purchased a G2420HDBL which is the same range, and for a TN panel its okay, sometimes the colours are a little washed out but that is to be expected from a TN panel, for the price it is a very good screen and you should not have a problem extending the desktop over.

Good budget monitor and should work fine for your needs.
