Monitor questions

Just got a brand new Smasung 244t and it's great

Just a couple of questions I wanted to ask though.
I've got both DVI and VGA with this, which is better? I put in DVI, it didn't work. so I put in Analog and that did. I just realized though that was because I didn't change the source to DVI from the menu

Is there any point in changing if this is wokring perfectly? what difference does it make?

Also, the cd that came along with it, which has a User's Guide, Natural Colour, Magic Tune, Magic Rotation and some drivers, doesn't work.

Do I really need the cd? or should I just forget about it?

If you have the option to use DVI then do so, the picture quality I find is far better than a D-Sub connection. Running a VGA connection to a flat panel requires a digital to analogue conversion in the PC followed by a conversion from analogue to digital conversion in the monitor. DVI is all digital so no losses due to unneccesary conversions

I switched to digital. I don't notice any difference, but hey, if its supposed to better, than good!

Anyone have any ideas about the cd?

I have two of the same monitors and I use one with DVI and one with VGA, I don't notice any difference in quality between the two (I used to with my old monitor that was on VGA).

I dont think there is any real need to use the CD..
