Monitor recommendation please!

Hi all,

I have a MSI Geforce GTX 780 Gaming Edition OC 3072MB GDDR5 and am looking to upgrade my ancient BenQ 24" to a 27" monitor.

Ideally I would go for a monitor with 2560x1440 resolution.

I guess my first question is can my GTX 780 handle this resolution (I would think so?) and then which 27" is the best with a budget of up to £500 ?

I don't really play FPS games a lot and when I do it is rather casually.

For £500 the world is your oyster for a 1440p monitor.

From personal experience I would highly recommend the Asus PB278Q.

I have mentioned this many times on these forums and I have only ever heard good things about it. It features the same PLS panel as the Samsung but the Asus would be an all round better monitor - height adjust stand etc.

It will of course set you back a bit more (think they're retailing around £400 these days) but it is my one recommendation from personal experience although the Samsung is good deal too.

And you'll have no issues at all with the 780. I have the GTX 770 and mine flies on 2560x1440.
