Monitor recommendation

Hi Guys

My syncmaster 226BW is on it's way out and I need to buy a new monitor. My budget is below £200.

I have the radeon 5770 GPU which has HDMI so i guess it would be useful to have a monitor that will take HDMI.

I can't get a monitor any bigger than a 24" in my unit and I mainly use it for browsing, blu ray and gamin MOH etc

I haven't tried 3d gaming and I'm not sure if it would be worth moving to a 3d monitor just in case

Any advice would be great

When i 1st turn the 226BW on it flashes like mad for asbout a minute then settles down as normal. The time it flashes seems to be increasing all the time. Once it settles it is fine. I just don't want to wait until it goes completely. I have been looking at the Samsung S23a700D as it seems a very good deal at the moment

Thanks for your response I have just purchased the 3 capacitors at a total cost of a massive £1.37 so nothing to lose and I will attempt the repair.

I purchased the capacitors as described but I believe the 226BW has a slightly different size. I purchased 2 x 1000uf 25v and 1 x 470uf 25v bit i now find the 226bw has 2 x 820uf 25v and 1 330uf 25v. Will this small difference cause any problems?
