Monitor recommendation

I have not bought a monitor for around 6 yrs now and all out of touch with the jargon thats used. I use my monitor (HP S2331a) for gaming and although there is nothing wrong with my current 23" I'm looking at replacing. what size could i go to that would be comfortable at 2-3 foot distance from me? Also I've just upgraded my GPU to a 1070. I'd probably still use this monitor for dual so I can web browse at the same time. Any input be welcome. As to budget I'd like to keep it south of £200
