Monitor recommendations please?

Currently got a 3 year old Dell 2408wfp which has an intermittant fault whereby the screen goes black so I have to power it off and on again.

I'm thinking of making the move to a 27" screen with higher res than 1080p. I have a single Asus 670 GTX graphics card and like to play FPS games.

Can anyone recommend the Dell 2713 monitor? Does it give off much heat when in use? (my wife's always moaning that the room is hot)

Just got a 2713 delivered about an hour ago I've got it set to 100% brightness & it's absolutely cool as a cucumber. Unlike my 40" Samsung LCD TV which does heat the room up.

That's the beauty of LED over LCD less power usage & less heat generated as a result, I'll let you know if anything changes.

I don't play any FPS games atm and have a GTX680 but it's running 4 player Diablo 3 as smooth as butter.



*edit Been running for about 4 hours now at 100% brightness still virtually no heat coming off the screen at all.
