Hi

As I posted before I'm thinking of moving my PC into my living room, and using a Monitor as a TV replacement. I'm looking for something thats HD compliant (preferably 1080P) and at least has an HDMI connector or two on it so that I can connect my PS3. I have a Sky+ box also, which although is a scart connection I have found a Scart ---> HDMI Convertor. I also know that there are various HDMI switch boxes available so I can go down that road if necessary.

Sound output would be nice but isn't absolutely mandatory as I have a hifi with speakers and amp in the same room so I guess I could rig something up.

Otherwise, as big as possible, although price (would like to stay under £450 or so) , and suitability for viewing from say 6-8 feet away sitting on my couch/chair is obviously to be considered as well as actually sitting in front of it for PC use.

I have no Idea about all the different panel types which is why I'm asking for suggestions (any and all welcome :)).....

Ok I'll narrow it down a bit :D :

According to what I've read, would a Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFP 24" suit my needs ? Have also noticed a 26" Samsung is on the way, the Samsung SyncMaster 2693HM.

Anybody ?

Thanks... yes I saw the thread about the 2408 and the input lag would appear to be a problem, and is kind of putting me off (since this would be used on a PC AND a PS3) although I have to confess that I don't know enough about the issue to know whether it should put me off.. Am coming from a 14-year old (yes 14) Sun Badged Sony 17" CRT...

With a monitor costing the best part of £500, I'd like to make a reasonably informed choice, as this is going to have to last a while.

I'm not a graphic designer so that wouldnt worry me. I guess I'll wait a few weeks and see what reviews say about the 24/26" samsungs then :)
