Is this even possible nowadays? My home monitor just lost the bottom line of LEDs, so i turned it off and on and it is now just a black screen 
It is 3 months out of warranty
((, I can still hear sound if use HDMI, the power is on but nothing onscreen.
If so does anyone know of any companies that do this? kind of work?

works 80% of the time. Not going to lie, Samsung done a really poor job on one of them which went back 3 times without a fix, I ended up soldering new caps in myself. Could it be worth finding out if you can strip it down and get a spare panel for it. It could also be an inverter board gone. If you look really closely can you make out a picture within the black screen?
