Is this even possible nowadays? My home monitor just lost the bottom line of LEDs, so i turned it off and on and it is now just a black screen :(
It is 3 months out of warranty :(((, I can still hear sound if use HDMI, the power is on but nothing onscreen.
If so does anyone know of any companies that do this? kind of work?

According to Google that monitor was released in 2016. It should still be under its three year warranty.

mine only had 2 years when I bought it, its in big letters on the box, bought 31st May 2016.
I'll look into the LED replacement thing :)

I am relegated to a 24" 1080p at the minute and its killing me, its soooo bad.

Call manufacturer and have a chat! Samsung repaired 3 monitors for me all out of warranty. Got to be worth a shot.

I did, they quoted more than the monitor is worth just to look at it :/

You're obviously nothing like me. I'm the sort of guy that will argue and argue and argue.. works 80% of the time. Not going to lie, Samsung done a really poor job on one of them which went back 3 times without a fix, I ended up soldering new caps in myself. Could it be worth finding out if you can strip it down and get a spare panel for it. It could also be an inverter board gone. If you look really closely can you make out a picture within the black screen?

Ill have a look at it at some point, I dont get much time right now as I run my own small taxi firm (airport transfers) so it's a busy time of year.
Otherwise ill throw it on an auction site for parts :)

I ask as generally they are very easy and cheap to fix, obviously this depends on what is wrong with it. If it is just an inverter that's gone it should be a doddle :)

Im not 100% sure, the bottom line went darker than the rest, so i cycled the power and the whole thing went black, power still there, and sound could be heard still through hdmi or dp, I did try to find some led strips for it to see if it was those but the things are very hard to find.

More likely to be the inverter/ power delivery circuit than the led strips. The lifetime on led lights is generally ridiculous. I'll see if I can find some diagrams on your monitor. Fwiw my lg tv did similar and it cost a massive 96p to fix.
