monitor res V speed of card?

Hi to all,
I read allot about resolutions v speed and amount of memory on grx cards, I will be upgrading my whole system very soon and my monitor is a viewsonic VP191s @ 1280X1024.

I would love to get the 8800 gtx oc 768meg, The way i seem to see it is that this card will have good reserve bandwidth for the up and coming games.

Even though i will not push the card resolutions wise as most or some of you guys, but surly i could keep all the eye candy with fast FPS???

yes its a good card, and even in todays games its already got its work cut out for it, (rainbow 6 vegas, lost planet, colin mcrae dirt, etc)
so yea its best option for you, some games you can run with 16xAA, some games like described above you may even need to drop details.

Should be ok with dx9 games but nobody really knows how this generation
of gpu's will run dx10.

I thought those games were badly coded console ports and that was why
they were running poorly.
