Monitor resolution for cyber monday

Hello

I'm considering a new monitor, hoping to get a cracking black friday/cyber monday deal.

I currently run 2 x 1070 in sli with a 4790k.
Current monitor is an asus 4k 60hz

I can't find any information on benchmarks for ultra wide monitors for 1070s in sli.

I like my current monitor for detail but it is more of a production monitor than a gaming one and I'm 95% gamer.

I like the look of something like the LG 34GK950G but need to know if I'd be getting roughly double the fps I'm getting at 4k.

How much of a hit does performance take on the ultra wide monitors?
Is 2560 x 1440 much easier than 3440 x 1440? I even see 3840 x 1600 but would this be too close to native 4k for me to see much of a difference in fps?

Sorry about the ramble, thanks in advance.

SLI is not supported much these days since its left up to the game dev to add support you would be better with 1 GPU, not sure how much you can get for your 1070's then I would worry about a monitor.

4k is approx 8million pixels Vs 5million at 3440UW - it's a lot more pixels to push.

As a very approximate calculation you should see about 60% more performance on the UW.

If your old setup is able to run at 60fps @4k then 100fps+ for UW is reasonable.

Ignore the sli for a moment and just take a look around at bench's for games at 4k Vs 3440uw and you'll soon get an idea on how frame rate scales with resolution which is the key thing here.

Thanks for the advice guys.
Just seen that the oc price for the 34GK950F is already the black Friday price anyway... back to the drawing board i think.
