Just a quick one , what would you guys advise is best to use to clean the screen of a pc monitor. Ive not had my asus vg278he long so do not want to damage it in any way ...cheers chaps..

I bought a cheapo supermarket LCD TV cleaner kit:o it has a brush to brush dust off. then a spray and a cloth to wipe it off. Doesn't leave any smears. I only bother to do it about twice a year though:D

I use a recipe I'm sure I got from here but it's basically 1 part de-ionised water ( you can get this at car section of supermarkets - or if you want a lifetime supply buy it at a garage forecourt - 2L+ bottles ) 1 part white wine vinegar.

Using a micro fibre cloth ( like for cleaning spectacles ) dip the cloth in the solution so it's slightly damp but not dripping wet. Then slowly rub your screen. I find it takes ages - that's my only niggle because I am so worried about damaging or scratching screen but been doing it for over a year now ( probably only 3 or 4 times though ) and never had any problems besides impatience.

I recently purchased a 100ml spray bottle from the door to door catalogue company known as betterware. Iirc it was £4.00 ono for the bottle. Excellent stuff, ive used it on my lcd tv's, monitors, laptop and mobile phone screens. Spray a drop on and wipe it with a microfibre cloth. Leaves a great streak free finish. I found that tap water left the screens a little streaky.
