I have two PC's one dedicated to games, the monitor on the other a 24" Hyundai W240D (1920x1200) has failed, no obvious sign of electronics going bang just no picture.

Currently using an old Samsung 22" but not as good as the Hyundai. So I need a replacement. Similar would be a Dell UltraSharp U2412M, but I could use my games PC monitor a BenQ BL 2710 (2560x1440) and upgrade/replace that.

I like the 27" size and the pixel density. My games PC seems to be able to run most games at Ultra at that res and don't really want to upgrade it to support more pixels. A bigger screen with the same res would not look as good I don't think. Is the inability of my CPU/GPU's to run at full Ultra on say Fallout 4 more the game so that a 4K monitor will be usable. I prefer my games to look as good as possible but still be smooth and I do notice rates below 60fps. 4K is over twice the pixels of my current games monitor.

What are peoples experience with 4K and current games with 980Ti in SLI?
