Monitor size, is 28" too big?

I currently run two 19" widescreens but want to start to watch a lot more video with my pc and so want a bigger screen.
I want 1920 x 1200 so its 24"+...

Im thinking either a Dell 24" or the Hanns-G 28", however getting the tape measure out and looking at the size of the 28" compared to a 19" I feel its going to be waaaay too big.

Bigger is better but I cant get my head around using a 28" at desk distance.

Just want some peoples opinions / experiences

Bigger is better. Would get a 30" if i had the money.

I'd say 24" is plenty big enough for a computer monitor. I recently went from 20" to 24" but certainly wouldn't want bigger.

Now that ive had a 24" for 6 months i want bigger.
If i could afford a 30" i would def buy 1

totally agreed, i saw my bosses 30" dell when i only had a 19" and though wow thats big but now iv had a 24" a few months 30" would be ideal.

I have 22" and i site about 80cm away from it, and sometimes it makes my eyes bleed.
