Anyone got any ideas how to stop it happening?
Setup:
Edirol FA-101 soundcard. (Firewire)
KRK Rokit RP6 Monitor speakers. (TRS to XLR cables)
What I've tried:
Powering the soundcard by DC jack and directly over firewire.
Adding ferrite cores to audio/firewire/PC kettle lead.
The speakers are absolutely fine when used with other devices, e.g. a mixer. When connected to the soundcard there is no noise until I connect the firewire cable so my thoughts are it could be the firewire cable or the firewire card in the PC?
