Hiya,

I am looking to buy my first monitor for my PC. My budget is around £300. I don't know much about monitors but I want something that can supports games and watch movies in 4k. I am willing to go a bit over my budget if there is a much better alternative but suggestions in both ranges would be very helpful! I have been told to look for one with 144z, 1440p and with 4k. I was looking at the

ASUS PB287Q 28 Inch 4K (3840x2160) monitor 1ms
for £300 but I am not sure if its worth the price.

Thanks for your help! All suggestions welcome!!! :)

You won't be playing games at that resolution with that PC, unless liking slide shows.
Already 2560x1440 would be lots of work for that graphics card and would need cutting down settings to get higher frame rates in more demanding games.

Also that monitor being only standard 60Hz (over DP, HMDI is 30Hz) would be cap, if you upgrade PC in the future.
144Hz 2560x1440 is simply that sweet spot monitor for gaming.

And that particular monitor is also crappy Twisted Nematics panel.

I am looking to upgrade my GPU/CPU. I just want to invest in a decent monitor that won't cap in the future.
I have linked another above. Do you have any suggestions for a 144Hz 2560x1440 within 200-300 budget.
