Hi all, I'm looking for a new monitor to use for PC gaming and also PS5, but not sure if there is an ideal monitor for this which fully supports all features including G-Sync and HDMI 2.1.

Does anyone have any recommendations, and have any of you had any success using a monitor with a PS5 using VRR?

I had a look at the HDMI 2.1 monitors here - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/moni...e/hdmi-2-1-compatible-monitors?sort=price_asc

These seem to be only G-Sync compatible - aren't there any monitors that include the G-Sync processor and also support HDMI 2.1?

Skip Yakuza-Jen tax if you want in TVs yesteryear's standard connectivity.
Nvidia is so hurried in laughing its ass off while on its way to bank that they haven't bothered to implement "only" five years old standard... Whose content they've propably known for six years.

What budget and size monitor you were thinking?
32" size is awfully neglected with nothing in high end courtesy of year ago announced monitors not having materialized.

Maybe something like this, and there are quite a few around the same price - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus...g-sync-hdr-elmb-gaming-monitor-mo-0c2-as.html
In 27" size Coolermaster Tempest GP27U would be top end choise using new AU Optronics panel with FALD backlight, very wide basically both AdobeRGB and DCI-P3 covering gamut and modern response times.
Below that there are standard edge illuminated LG 27" and some Innolux 28" panel based models like Gigabyte M28U, though HDMI 2.1 is literally half assed in the latter.
(limited to 24 Gb/s vs 48Gb/s)

In 32" there really isn't anything modern high end.
There are very wide gamut AU Optronics panel based models like that Asus PG32UQ, but those panels are more like five years old in response times.
There was supposed to be modern tech FALD panel similar to 27" with monitors like Acer X32 FP announced year ago, but Acer has kept total EMCON for half year.
For standard level once again there's Innolux panel based average wide gamut Gigabyte. (but IIRC same half assed HDMI 2.1)

Thanks for the advice. It seems like everything available at the moment is a compromise - you either get G-Sync Ultimate with HDMI 2.0 or HDMI 2.1 but only G-Sync compatible (minimum 48 fps).

I think I'll wait and see what else comes out this year :)

Not tempted by an LG 42” C2?

Edit - this is actually from a year ago, maybe this monitor was cancelled.

Looks like we might have a ROG monitor coming soon with all of these features - PG32UQXE https://rog.asus.com/articles/gaming-monitors/rog-swift-pg32uqxe/

I can't see any info about the HDMI bandwidth but will wait and see what other info comes out. Looks like it could be really expensive though because it's an update to the PG32UQX.

C2 supports all VRR formats from 120hz down to 20hz so not sure why that would be a problem.
That would be great, is that confirmed in specs anywhere or do you have that screen yourself?

The PG32UQXE / PG32UQXR is a more “affordable” version of the the PG32UQX. It has half the number of LED zones and lacks the dedicated G-Sync Ultimate module. The new model does however gain newer DiplayPort and HDMI standards and drops some of the gimmicks. Being Asus, it will still be overpriced though.

It was tested so in this review.

Looks like Acer X32 FP is becoming available after all.
Some shops have gotten it into stock.
Now we just need some proper reviews.
