Does anyone else,s monitor here make you tired and get really dry eyes?

I've tried all diffrent settings on my monitor (LG W2363D0)Its a 3D monitor but i dont use the 3D just standard.
Adjusted brightness, gamma, contrast etc nothing seems to make any difference.

Even tried that app called F.LUX that adjusts your monitor depending on time of day.

And before anyone suggests i get an eye test,Had one just last month and they said my ares are fine, perfect vision so its not my eyes.

I've had my glasses tinted and anti glare added for extended monitor use and i've found that has helped a lot. You could consider getting something similar but without the script (plano lenses). Try a cheap pair of slightly tinted sunglasses first - may be had to find...

The Optrex spray works quite well too.

Sorry for my super late reply,

Well i dont have glasses,But been looking on diffrent sites that have glasses stated as "Anti Glare Computer Glasses"

But theyre all diffrent,Some are .25 dioptres and others are .50 dioptres?...not a clue what i would need?

One good thing they are note as expensive as i thought, only around £15-20.

A lot of things can affect the fatigue from looking at a monitor, including the ambient room light levels, the angle/height your eyes are to the screen, size of the display i.e. a large display viewed too close can mean a lot of extra eye movement or a smaller display from too far away can be causing you to squint and so on.

Hi Rroff.Well id consider my room to have ample lighting,I have my monitor (23") raised so the middle of the monitor is in line with my eyes like advised and have it set to 120hz max refresh rate.

I sit about 3FT away from my monitor.

Just found some more Anti Glare Computer Glasses, which i think are just plain glass with what they say- "No Focus change" i assume they mean "dioptres"?...
which i think would be suitable for me as i dont wear glasses normaly so would not need any strenth in them just the Anti Reflective/Anti UV Coating.

I know i cant post links to other sites but these are the glasses....

The recommendation is to have the top of the monitor line up with your eyes, not the middle. Afaik it's to reduce neck-strain rather than it has anything to do with your eyes but you might want to fix that before you get neck problems as well ;)

I had the same problem after I got myself a 27", which I was not used to. Bad eye strain but I somehow got used to the screen, and that app F.lux seems to really help me too (I know it didn't for you but maybe worth another try for a week?).

Good free program I use called F.lux,it adjusts the brightness of your monitor according to time of day, have a nice soft tint at night, not too hard on the eyes.......

Had a period of eyestrain here, turned the brightness down on my monitor and I've had no problem since then. Maybe try turning down the brightness/contrast and see if that helps?

Ive tried every single diffrent setting i could and it made no diffrence. ;)

I have ordered some GUNNAR Gamer E11ven glasses,Expensive at £59 but going from reviews and people on Youtube reviewing them they say thay make quite a diffrence as they have the same issue as me.

Just an update to anyone that was skeptical on the GUNNAR Gamer E11ven glasses.

They do work!....My eyes have been much better since getting them about 1.5 weeks ago,No longer dry or feeling tired....well worth the £60.

good job on finding that out, personally dont have a problem but a friend of mine does get headache's and we werent sure why (after he moved to TFT anyway) so will let him know to try tinted glasses etc.

I talked to my eye soc about this issue, I told him that I knew it was time to get off because my my face was covered in my own tears (not because I suck either) my eyes would just hurt that bad. His response was to have blinking exercises between maps......
