Hello,

Would it be possible to connect an ordinary DVD player to the 19" widescreen hanns-g monitor that OCUK sell? If so what kind of leads would i need, and would the DVD player need any special sort of output?

Thanks!

If the monitor only has VGA / DVI input, then you'll need some sort of special input box of sorts, like an XGA box, that'll do it, but they're usually horribly poor quality for cheaper things, but I'm sure there are more dedicated, more expensive options out there.

The XRGB2 is a good quality scart>vga converter and upscaler, though you'll need to get one from ebay as they only make XRGB3 now which costs £200. You can get much cheaper ones that are ok for about £30, generally they only accept s-video signals at best though and are 576P only.
