I'm about to get a 2nd hand 980Ti and I thought it's about time I got myself a 120/144Hz monitor. I currently have 2 24" 60hz IPS screens (both 1920x1200) which I'm very happy with in terms of the picture quality, but since playing on a friend's screen I can definitely see that 60Hz isn't ideal. Since I'm getting an nvidia card I thought it was probably a good idea to go with a G-Sync monitor too. Is this a good idea or is 144Hz enough?

So I was thinking I'd get myself either a 24 or 27" screen to go with the new card. I'm unsure if I should go with 1080p or 1440p.. I guess the new card will run either pretty solidly for a good while to come. Please recommend something!

My budget isn't really fixed, but I don't want to spend silly money. Let's say anywhere up to about £500, but I'd want to be convinced it was worth it.

Thanks!

I have a 980ti and just got a Dell s2716dg from a BenQ 1080p and what a difference!!

The 980ti handles 1440p 144hz perfectly and with GSync for when the fps drops.

If you are willing to spend £500 i'd go for Dell!

No worries!

Check out the forum post on the dell, a lot of people who went from IPS to this TN where very impressed so defo check it out!

I recently upgraded from 1080p to 1440p and I'm amazed at how well the 980Ti still performs at this level - the resolution jump doesn't seem like much but its actually a 70% or so increase (2m pixels to 3.5m pixels) and the 980Ti has no issues with BF1 at this res at high hz =D
