Helped a colleague build a new PC he's been buying bits for over the last few months. Last bit he needs is a monitor that will do it justice

CPU: 12900k
RAM: 64GB
GPU: 4070ti

Main uses will be Adobe Photoshop/Premier Pro and some light gaming. So need a monitor with good colour reproduction, something in the range of 27-32". What's the go to monitor for this sort of use-case these days? Budget is anything up to £700

Just doing some research to learn about this stuff. I was looking at:

(£600) Asus PA328CGV, link. 32", 1440p, IPS.

Colour stuff:
"ProArt Display PA328CGV is factory calibrated and Calman Verified to deliver superb color accuracy (∆E < 2). It also provides industry-standard 95% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB/Rec. 709 color space coverage."

DP via USB Type-C:
The integrated USB-C port supports data transfers, DisplayPort and also support 90W power delivery via one cable provides convenient solution and C-clamp design keep your desk area tidy.

And this:

(£550) Dell U2723QE, link. 27", 4K, IPS (Black?).

Colour stuff:
Colour Support
1.07 billion colours

Colour Gamut
100% Rec 709, 100% sRGB, 98% DCI-P3

DP via USB Type-C:
USB-C upstream/DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode with Power Delivery (power up to 90W, HDCP 2.2)

Thought I'd have a look at a regular gaming monitor:

(£650) Dell G3223Q, link. 32", 4K, IPS (Fast?).

Colour stuff:

Colour Support
1.07 billion colours

Colour Gamut
95% DCI-P3, 99% sRGB

And then a 'cheap' one:

(£350) Asus VG289Q, link. 28", 4K, IPS.

Color Space (sRGB) : 100%
Color Space (DCI-P3) : 90%
Display Colors : 1073.7M (10 bit)

Hmm.

Another one I looked at:

BenQ PD3205U

Features that may or may not be significant:
- Factory calibration / hardware calibration.
- Integrated KVM.
- HDR10.
