Monitor Turns Off... Then On

Hey all,

Not a great problem, but every once in a while my monitor will go black, and then turn back on about a second later. It only happens about once a day, but it is a little weird. I have two monitors, and it is only the left (main) one that does this...

Any ideas on what this could be?

Lose power cable or data cable?
Could try updating your graphics card driver!

what resolution do you run the monitor at? and is the graphics card ATI?

1440x900, and yes ATI X1900XTX.

hey i thought this was posted earlier?! lol
either that or im mixing my threads up.. thought you were running dual screen with a menu bar on each screen. thought you were ognna try removing that problem to see if it helps?
man i need to sleep if ive got this mixed up. lol

Odd, i had the same problem with my 4850 running monitors in 16:9 in high resolutions. The monitor would constantly auto adjust blinking on and off.

Not found out the single cause of this & suspect a combination of things like GFX driver upgrade & windows update messing some peoples rez settings up causing the auto reboot of the screen.
(Could also be down to the multiple power cuts we've had in my area as my internal clocks defaulted an all)

For Me a Double sweep with driver cleaner & instal of older drivers sorted it.
