Monitor turns off then on??

I have started having this problem since updating to the latest WHQL drivers for a GTX 560ti.

When I watch a youtube video or any movie with VLC, the monitor will turn off for 3 - 4 seconds then turn on.

Its very annoying, I have reinstalled the drivers, still does it.

How old is it,, it could be the powersupply thats starting to fail?

I think this is related to the power management settings in the nvidia options, set it to prefer maximum performance and that should fix the issue

Changed power management settings, still doing it..... Surely if it was the PSU I would have more issues than just in video's, for example games etc etc

Try pluging it in a diff socket on gpu.

Does it say "display driver has stopped responding and has recovered successfully" after it turns back on?

rolled back the drivers, no issue, crappy nvidia...
